Veerappan and Govi Subramanian (VGS) Foundation India is a Private Foundation, incorporated on 23 June 2021. It has been incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 with Corporate Identification Number U80902TN2021NPL144270 on June 23, 2021, having its registered office at 302, FM House, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai – 600 006 

The Foundation is engaged in philanthropic activities specifically pertaining to welfare and education of children / students from less privileged background and care givers of children through formal and informal methods, including offering financial support, facilities for improving hygiene, opportunities for all-round social development including sports and recreational activities, and by conducting medical camps, art camps and social awareness programmes, and such other activities, programs and matters that are permitted by applicable laws. It also aims to train teachers to impart non-formal education and to work in vocational centres, provide material support and assistance to other third party initiatives, set up and provide health care facilities, assist and aid persons affected by natural calamities or force majeure events, provide financial assistance to students and caregivers and recognize and encourage students and teachers by giving awards and rewards for outstanding achievements, performances, services and excellence in their chosen fields.

 

Focus Areas

To engage in philanthropic activities explicitly pertaining to the welfare of children, education, hygiene, and social development and to promote, undertake initiatives, engage in social programs, create awareness, and provide all kinds of support services for the attainment of the above

To provide education to children / students from less privileged background, to offer financial support, to pursue education vocational training, to train teachers to work in non-formal education and vocational centers, to provide for the all-round development of a child with sports, medical camps and art camps. 

To promote and impart education, training, and other necessary skills to children through formal, informal, and recreational activities and the doing of all such other lawful things as considered necessary for the furtherance of the above objects.
